Little Talks in Tall Trees by Rashael Crystal
little talks in tall trees
we spoke of seeds
and filtered beads
of golden light;
loving lips and
tender hands
nurturing
life.
we spoke of water,
transience and growth;
from drop to stream,
river to sea,
all that is. was.
and could one day
be.
we spoke of bold
and delicate things.
flickering dreams and
fluttering wings of
half-truths, and
play-believe.
but here’s the thing:
words have holes.
they wont hold water.
and seeds need more
than skin and
good intention
to survive.
