“Heather Teague Sees Beautiful Things” by Bob Rich
“Heather Teague Sees Beautiful Things” by Bob Rich for Heather and her mother Sarah Nell Teague, 9/7/10
Miss Heather looks for peace of mind and seeks out harmony
She finds it in God’s shining art — the sky’s bright canopy
The brilliance of the sun by day, the moon’s nocturnal glow
The clouds’ soft misty light which looks like slowly bursting snow.
She also finds enjoyment in the sparkling melodies
Of songs made by her favorite bands which lift her soul with ease
The song “Round Here” by Counting Crows finds beauty during strife
And “Lightning Crashes,” sung by Live, describes cycles of life
And “Night Moves” by Bob Seger wistfully recounts the night
When lightning adds some drama as teenagers see the light.
Miss Heather’s caring eyes perceive when people are in need
They often take from her, but still: compassion is her creed.
She first got lost in ’95, we’re searching all the while
Until that day when she returns with music and her smile.
